Delicious whichs, go all out and get the Chinatown.
The beef is good! And they offer milk shakes and juices, diverse menu. The hot and sweet beef is unique. Very small without much seating.
Really great roast beef sandwiches! I get the Kansas City one with onion rings, BBQ sauce and cheese. I love their Mac and cheese too! The strawberry lime drink is outstanding.. I think they should offer fries instead of potato chips tho. How about a roast beef with jus?
Unique ingredients on delicious breads. The Kansas City is what an Arby's roast beef dreams it could be.
Fantastic! Absolutely delicious. Well worth the trip. Setting is super quaint and the sandwiches are perfectly crafted. I'm already planning my next trip.
Best breakfast sandwich I’ve found in DC! Make sure to try the Cali. Also can’t beat the price
Great alternative for a good lunch when you want to take break from regular visits to Cava, ChopIt, and Potbelly. The Cali Turkey burger I had was monster sized yet didn't make me feel guilty as the ingredients looked healthy and fresh. They also have cool drinks and chips but passed on them seeing the size of burger.
Cali beef = best sandwich ever!
Cool place, one of the best sandwiches I tried
Holy moly...their Chinatown sandwich hit the spot for me! The sandwich had complex flavors, great textures, and surprisingly fresh ingredients. It was one of the best lunches that I have ever had.
The Turkey Bacon Ranch sandwich was delicious. I was expecting a standard, no frills sandwich and that's basically what I got. However, there were two things that made the sandwich stand out: the bun and the sauce. Personally, I think the bun (or bread) is most often neglected in favor of other ingredients. It's viewed as more of a necessity than something that could really stand out on its own. The bun was soft and flavorful and really made its presence known. The sauce was also amazing. The ranch, like most ranch, was good. However, the addition of a "wise" sauce (I think that's what it was called) really added some flavor and spice that elevated the sandwich was good to great. If I come back to DC, I'll make sure to stop back here.
Really great sammiches! Very friendly staff
Very good food but lacks seating. Better for takeout.
Great sandwiches and milkshakes!
Roast beef on a bun with various toppings. They use a soft bun, not a hard roll, and roast beef is nice and soft. If you're going to Union station to catch a bus, and looking for a good sandwich to take with you, this place is located one metro stop away.
Love this place for breakfast on the go...
Best roast beef sandwich I’ve ever had - I wish I lived closer to have this more often.
simple menu + quality food that hits all the right notes. so much better than your standard sandwich shop. might be my new favorite dc lunch.
New joint in DC, amazing sandwiches that melt in your mouth. Get the Kansas city with goat cheese, unbelievable.
Great sandwiches. DC Turkey is the way to go. Slightly overpriced though.
Hands down one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten.
Great Sammiches! Very fresh, high quality ingredients. If you aren't sure, get the sauce on the side. Sauces are yummy across the board, but you will want to control the amount of sauce to your liking.
Great sandwiches. Just wish they had more variety.
Cute place! I was in the Chinatown section of Washington D.C. in hopes to having some breakfast which was difficult to find I came across this place and decided to give it a try I had the Regular (which contains no meat)from the breakfast menu and my son had the American both was very tasty I would definitely come again the next time I'm visiting Washington D.C.Definitely would recommend this place
Great place. I've had lunch and breakfast here - both outstanding and of reasonable value.
Great sandwiches and great sauce. The portions are a little smaller and there is not much room to eat at the store, it could maybe hold 8 people.
The bacon, egg, hash brown and cheese sandwich is sooooooo good the sauce they put on it just makes it complete! Their lemonade is fresh and delicious I will definitely go back!
Tasty, can't go wrong with the 6th Street or Kansas City sanwiches. Shakes are bomb too!
Great rare roast beef, good sauces, terrific woman behind the counter. She remembers your order better than a Starbucks barista.
Great little corner sandwich shop. Not a huge selection but I've tried several so far and they're all amazing. I'm usually a big fan of meat but even their vegetarian sandwich was good.
Very good sandwiches and filling sandwiches. Meat is sliced right in front of you so you know it's fresh. Has a good sized menu with several different sandwiches, each of which has a unique complex flavor. Each sandwich has a combination of different sauces that give it that spicy, tangy, complex flavor. It’s mostly a takeaway shop. Must try.
Beef n Bread is decent. Better than a lot of the options around, but meat is not particularly high quality and generally on the dry side. Still worth a stop when convenient, but not worth going out of your way for.
The Cali Beef was tasty (loved that jalapeño sauce) but slightly overpriced. I liked the selection of unusual bottled drinks, like Jamaican Cream soda. It's a teeny tiny space- really best suited for carryout.
Best (roast) beef in town maybe? Sauce and season with abandon.
Very good sandwiches. A tad pricey, but worth it
Absolutely fantastic and cheap too
My wife has the calisunshine and I had the roast beef. Both the rolls were perfect. Would surely recommend this place for breakfast.
Good quick bite to eat. Roast beef is plentiful and sandwiches are nice and sloppy. I just wish I had trimmed mustache before I came.
Good sandwiches fairly priced at this Boston chain. Beef, turkey and pastrami sandwiches all available - highly recommend the Kansas City.
This place is a gem! I don't even really like roast beef, but right after I took my first bite, I thought about buying another sandwich. I would never expect to find something like this in Chinatown but here it is and I will bring any and all visitors here. They have roast beef, turkey, veggie options. All sorts of flavor profiles that you can easily sort out by looking at the ingredients listed for each item. I had the Chinatown roast beef and it was basically how I would make a roast beef sandwich for myself if I ever ate roast beef at home. Avocado, cilantro, basil, sprouts, sriracha, hoisin sauce, jalapeno sauce... all on top of melt-in-your-mouth roast beef? These are a few of my favorite things.
Excellent, fresh turkey sandwiches though bang for the buck is low.
Amazing! I saw the Cali beef in a comment so I ordered one, the bread taste so good and so is the beef. Really worth to try !!!👍🏻
This place always has great sandwich options! The sauces they use are typically on the sweet side so use caution if you like more savory sandwiches. The meat they use is always good quality so this place is great for anyone who needs a consistent lunch nearby. The sandwiches are also served on a round bun, not subway style so keep that in mind.
This is quite possibly the biggest disappointment in roast beef I've ever had.I ordered the DC. Why they cook all of the texture out of their roast beef, I have no idea. Seriously, it was like biting into and chewing a ball of mush.Yes, the DC includes a very soft cheese. But generally, if you want a good mouth feel, the cheese and meat and other ingredients will complement each other. Instead, the cheese and meat each contributed to the mushiness of the other and overwhelmed all of the veggie bits.On top of that… "wise sauce?" Really? It's freaking Russian dressing. Everyone knows what Russian dressing is. Why make yourself sound pretentious by trying to give it a fancy, trademark will name? You're a sandwich shop. You may be trying to be a good sandwich shop, but you're still just a sandwich shop. Mix the textureless roast beef, the pretension, and the fact their price point is 30% higher then other quality sandwich shops nearby, and I have no reason to go back.
Cali beef was amazing. Check this place out.
For breakfast sandwich. The cali sunshine was insanely good.
One of my favorite sandwich spots in DC :)
The Kansas City is my fav, Milkshakes are good as well.
Arby's is better quality meat. I went here for lunch and ordered the southern sandwich. The beef was really fatty and chewy. The only reason it's receiving 3 stars is because I like the various menu options that I can't find any place else. Definitely recommend that you at least TRY it on a rainy day or if you're in the area.
